We enjoyed our first overnight visit and made a happy return a fortnight later. A beautiful brick fronted Georgian townhouse, then through an elegant maybe later Victorian carved entrance to a tiled hallway that opens into a medieval-into-Georgian alleyway of discreet, peaceful buildings. Simply booked via the comprehensive website, then on the day a friendly mid-morning call from Holly to greet us and explain arrival. Her thoughtful welcome was the signature of what follows. 38 St Giles is immaculate, comfortable, clean and honest to Norwich, Norfolk and its own past. It’s an interesting and convenient place to stay. Easy parking nearby; after a long journey, we were perked up by the tasty brownies and made reviving cups of tea with the flask of fresh milk. There was plenty of info in our room, along with a decent discount voucher for a good looking and well-reviewed nearby bistro for breakfast. A lovely evening view from our room, St Augustine, over rooftops towards the Catholic Cathedral. With all of that, we slept soundly too. 38 St Giles is a credit to Norwich.

One of the best Hotels we have stayed in. We can not fault a thing. Evertyhing was perfect. The breakfast was incredible. We loved the fact that the food was all sourced locally. We shall definitely return and we will highly recommend this hotel to all our family and friends x

Absolutely perfect. Felt like a little corner of luxury. Perfect balance of honouring the history, with a modern touch. Room had Absolutely everything, and more. Dressing gowns, slippers, luxury shower products, premium coffee machine in room and super comfy bed. Loved it here

Spent a night at 38 St. Giles for a friends 50th birthday. The lovely Holly couldn't be more accommodating. Communicating with our party of six who were arriving at different times and letting us decorate a room as a surprise. Holly was warm and friendly, making us feel really welcome. The rooms were fab and had everything you need and more! I loved the setting for breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. Wonderful fresh produce and a good choice, and we were looked after perfectly. I'd definitely recommend and would love to stay there again. Great job everyone!
