About The Castle
Spitalfields sits within easy reach of Norwich Cathedral and the River Wensum, and The Castle makes use of that setting as a pub B&B with a garden for warmer evenings and free on-site parking for those arriving by car. It's an adults-only spot, with a bar downstairs that's popular with locals as well as guests staying the night.
Rooms are en-suite and kept clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, free WiFi, and drinks available in room. Family rooms are also offered. Breakfast is included, based around fresh local bread and cereals, though it runs on the simple side rather than a full spread. The bar itself has a friendly, easy-going atmosphere and drinks are reasonably priced.
Reception is staffed around the clock, and the location works well for exploring Norwich on foot, with restaurants, pubs and entertainment nearby, plus golf and fishing options for those wanting to venture a little further out.

Such a unique room. A mini house! Easy check in. Comfortable room and close to where we were heading. Roundabout was a bit noisy but not the hotels fault..... still slept!. Small breakfast on offer that i could eat...again not their fault but fresh local bread. A nice small loaf

Advertised on booking.com as a hotel, it's actually a pub. Advertised on their own website as having a fairly comprehensive menu for snacks and evening meals, the reality is they stopped cooking a while ago and staff were surprised to see it still on the site. Advertised as fantastic breakfast, the reality was bread and jam with cereals that you prepare and serve yourselves ( could have done that at home) specifically asked via email for somewhere quiet, reality was a room adjacent to a very busy roundabout, sirens and loud cars/motorbikes all night long. All in all not a pleasant experience and would not repeat.
