About Travelodge Norwich Central

Travelodge Norwich Central occupies a six-floor building on Queens Road, with 104 rooms and an NCP car park situated right next to the hotel for guests who drive, though parking there is chargeable. The location puts shops, the Theatre Royal and a range of restaurants within easy walking distance, making it a practical base for a night at the theatre or a day exploring the city.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and the option of drinks available in-room, and the hotel offers accessible rooms alongside standard ones. Beds are comfortable and rooms are generally well-sized and kept clean, which guests consistently note as good value for the price. Some rooms can be noisy, given the central setting, so light sleepers may want to bear that in mind. There's a restaurant on site, along with a lift, 24-hour reception, and an electric vehicle charge point, and pets are welcome.

Staff are usually friendly and helpful, though service can be inconsistent from stay to stay. Beyond the hotel doors, there's entertainment, fishing, and further pubs and restaurants nearby, giving guests plenty to fill an evening or a spare afternoon in Norwich.

We’ve stayed in this travelodge before and all has been fine, but it seems to have gone quite downhill in the last year unfortunately. Staff are absolutely lovely, no fault on them at all. Unfortunately, the rooms were very run down and did not feel clean. Our first room, the sink was completely blocked, so we had to move rooms. (Staff were very accommodating here!) Other issues included holes in bedding and marks all over the walls The second room we had all seemed fine. However, we didn’t have a proper look until we came back after a concert. The bed seemed fine, however, the toilet clearly had not been cleaned properly as there was feces on the toilet seat (!!!how does that even happen?). Unfortunately, we will not be returning here as it is concerning that would go amiss.

I've been staying at this hotel while work is being carried out at my home, and the experience has been outstanding from start to finish. The staff are fantastic and always go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. If there's ever an issue, it's dealt with quickly and professionally, and everyone is consistently friendly, approachable, and helpful. The hotel is spotless throughout and always has a fresh, pleasant smell. They also accept dogs, which is a bonus. The food is excellent, arriving hot, fresh, and well prepared every time. The Wi-Fi is reliable and strong across all floors, and mobile signal is also great, which has made staying connected very easy. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. There's a large desk area with a TV, mirror, lighting, and plenty of power sockets. The bed has built-in bedside tables with USB charging ports and light switches, making it really convenient. There's also ample storage space, complete with hangers, spare pillows, and a fan for warmer days. The en-suite bathroom is clean and well maintained, with a shower, bath, and toilet, and fresh towels are provided regularly, which is a nice touch and helps make the stay even more comfortable. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my stay. The staff have made what could have been a stressful time much easier, and I truly appreciate everything they have done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and exceptional service. Thank you all for your hard work and hospitality. – Matt

Clean, staff friendly but hotel room is beyond basic. Homeless man asleep in the lobby and the buses behind the hotel might be the LOUDEST and most continuous sound. Ongoing heatwave, no A/C or fans provided so you have to have the window open (small crack) to try and keep the room cool. Would not come back

The location of the hotel could not be more convenient for anyone visiting Norwich or Norfolk. Staff was pleasant on approach, attended to needs and was explanatory with the fire alarm procedure and evacuation process. The facility and services provided when compared to the amount charged per night compared to other budget hotel is commendable. The bit I found needing attention about the facility is the small bathing seat in the accessible room, the stiffness of the door to the rooms which was too strong to push and open for anyone with a hand or shoulder injury. The sockets close to the bed are USBs' and not plugs. It meant I had to plug the fan far away from where it is needed due to the location of the sockets. Hooks for hanging jackets and coats will be a bonus for customers. No issues with mattress or pillows however, the curtains in the room were not lengthy enough to cover the window despite adjusting it and placing the loose hooks back in. It is not appropriate as the room faced the bus station and other buildings. Lastly, may be it is due to the day of the week when most services were not in operation including transport, It was a peaceful and quiet night.
