What visitors say
Visited Depot Nottingham today and was disappointed to find the upstairs section closed, yet we were still charged full price and weren’t informed by staff beforehand. This has happened to me more than once now. I understand the upstairs area is relatively small, but the gym itself is already quite limited on space, so losing that section noticeably affects what you can climb and how busy the rest of the gym feels. On previous visits during route setting, equipment was left everywhere, setters were constantly testing climbs, and there was hammering and disruption throughout the session. At times it felt impossible to climb properly without being interrupted or asked to move. Honestly, if that much work is being done, the gym should just close for the reset period instead of operating as normal and charging full price. I’ve also found the route setting itself to be fairly repetitive. A lot of the newer problems feel very similar to previous sets, with not much creativity or variety compared to other gyms. Ventilation is another issue. There only seems to be one fan at the back that occasionally works, which makes the space uncomfortable when it gets busy. Overall, the communication, value for money, and climbing experience haven’t been great, and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this gym based on my experiences.

Very cool place. Excellent atmosphere. Nice and friendly staff. Good place for families with a special wall for small children. Diverse types of frames. Small shop with fair prices. We wish we could have spent more time exploring the space before the pandemic. Our son is excited with the idea of regularly go free or supervised indoors climbing inside this amazing place. Finally they’re back and we’re back. The use of masks inside even with social distance maybe is a bit too much. Looking forward to the days we can breath freely. In terms of price, it’s definitely worth buying the 10 pass deal to start.
