About Glenternie House
Glenternie House is a Victorian Grade B listed mansion dating to around 1870, set in a hidden valley some four miles from Peebles with views towards the Southern Uplands and the River Tweed nearby. It is run as a small, personally hosted bed and breakfast rather than a hotel.
Rooms include ensuite doubles with a full Scottish cooked breakfast served in the dining room each morning, and dinner or a lighter supper can be arranged in advance for guests not wanting to drive back into Peebles in the evening. Free WiFi is available throughout the house.
The setting suits guests after a quiet, rural stay with genuine hosting rather than hotel-style anonymity, and works well as a base for walking, fishing or exploring the wider Tweed Valley, with Peebles itself a short drive away for dinner out or shopping.

What a wonderful house in a sublime location. The views are to die for. Lots of first rate bedrooms, all done up in the best of taste. It's also a very clean house which is impressive considering how big it is. The owner of the house is an art dealer and each room has a unique collection of paintings, complimented by antique furniture. The family are very friendly and there are beautiful walks all round the area. Can't really go wrong at Glenternie.

An absolute delight. Beautiful building in a stunning location. Our room had amazing views from the bath tub, and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming

Marvellous! Beautiful House, lovely people and gorgeous location. Would move in if I could. I would love to tell you its rubbish so you don't all go and I can keep this gem to myself, alas I am too honest.

A perfect place to stay. The room was clean with lovely views. Friendly welcome by the host too. Would recommend.
