About Peebles Hydro Hotel
Peebles Hydro is a substantial Victorian hotel set in 30 acres of grounds overlooking the Tweed Valley, built in the era of hydropathic spa hotels and still run very much with families and groups in mind. Its 132 bedrooms range from standard doubles to larger family rooms sleeping four.
The hotel's leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool and spa, and food is served across several venues including the Grill Room, with menus built around Borders produce, much of it sourced from in and around the surrounding countryside. A gin distillery experience and guided walks are among the activities offered to guests.
With its scale, pool and range of activities, Peebles Hydro suits multi-generational groups and families more than couples seeking an intimate stay, and its grounds mean guests can spend a full day on site without needing to drive anywhere.

Had our wedding there during July. Absolutely first class experience from start to finish. Could not have been made to feel more welcoming......Lauren and the events team were faultless. The rooms were brilliant and the quality of food and the service was above and beyond. The staff could not have been more professional (especially John) and nothing was too much trouble. All of our guests had an amazing time, and everyone commented on how good the food, and overall experience was. I cannot recommend the Peebles Hydro enough. Thanks to all the staff for making our wedding such a fabulous experience.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is beautiful and there's something for everyone in it and also in and around the town. Servicevwas excellent. Particularly praise is due to the housekeeping and back of house staff. special mention to Daniel who starts early in the leisure centre and then joins the housekeeping team. A fantastic lady with a smile and great flare who takes pride in looking after the space and the people in it.

I would like to start by saying the staff members were more than accommodating and absolutely lovely. I planned a proposal during my stay with my now fiancée, and the hotel was more than happy to help make the experience extra special by assisting with the planning. There was a moment during the planning process where I felt overwhelmed, and after speaking with the hotel team, they were incredibly understanding and helpful about the whole situation, which I really appreciated. Our room was absolutely amazing — it felt like having our own private space. It was spacious, luxurious, and had a gorgeous view. Room service was also super fast. Even on one evening when we were told the kitchen was extremely busy and there might be a wait, our food arrived very quickly. The swimming pool and hot tub were also lovely and provided a perfect, relaxing way to unwind before dinner. Both restaurants served absolutely stunning food. Breakfast was delicious too. Personally, the cooked options weren’t quite for me, but the cereal, fruit, and yogurt were fresh and really enjoyable.

Comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated rooms. The bed was supportive and roomy with a good mattress. Joanna in housekeeping did a great job in servicing the room. On arrival the bed was set up as two singles so we asked that it be rejigged as a double, which was done swiftly and without fuss while we were at the pool. Both the Grill Room and the Miller Lounge restaurants are lovely spaces - the Grill Room is elegant, bright and impressive (without being imposing or too large); the tables in the Miller Lounge are in a sun room with fabulous views of the hilly landscape. Service was good. The manager of the Grill Room at breakfast time was particularly excellent, providing a warm welcome, plus swiftly and effectively responding to requests. Laura and Elly in the Spa were exceptional. The welcome and service was excellent; the treatments were sublime, tailored and very well done.
