Haverfordwest sits at the heart of Pembrokeshire, and from this bungalow a short drive south reaches the coastal village of Newport—a pocket-sized settlement with a reputation for good food and easy access to the county's beaches and hills. Garn Isaf is a single-storey property on a rural track, surrounded by grazing land and small fields, with the sweep of Newport Bay visible across the water. The setting is genuinely remote, yet the café and restaurant life of Newport is only five minutes away by car.
Everything sits on ground level: three bedrooms (two doubles and one bunk), a bathroom with shower over the bath, and a combined kitchen and dining space that opens onto a patio and enclosed garden. The property is yours alone, sleeping up to four guests. A wood burner and electric heating keep things warm from October onwards; electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The kitchen has what you need to cook—oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine—and the living room has a television and DVD player. One dog is welcome here, and there is private parking for up to three cars.
The location rewards those who want to walk: coastal paths run along Newport Bay, and the Gwaun Valley—a landscape of narrow lanes and ancient woodland—lies just beyond. Abercastle Campsite is nearby if you want to explore further afield. Pony trekking and other activities are available locally. The property is non-smoking.

Anne is a great host and made delicious breakfast. She also gave us a lift to a nearby pub the evening before.

Our group of 7 stayed in the Garn Isaf Guesthouse for one night while hiking the Prembrokeshire Coastal Path. The minute we arrived, Anne made us feel very welcome. There were pots of tea on our arrival and for breakfast we had the most delicious fresh fruit salad as well as all the other options. The location could have not been more perfect and it was wonderful that Anne drove us to the village pub for dinner. What a great experience! We felt very well looked after. Thank you Anne

A Peaceful Haven at Anne’s Guesthouse We’ve just returned from a wonderful 7-day stay at Garn Isaf – a truly charming and welcoming B&B. This was already our second stay with Anne and from the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home. The setting is incredibly peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. The coastal path runs right by the house, making it a perfect base for hikes. We stayed in one of the attic rooms, which was cozy, spotless, and well-equipped. A glass door opens to a small outdoor space with a lovely view of an old barn. Annie is a fantastic host, and her warm hospitality really stands out. Her dog Amber is just as lovely – calm, friendly, and added an extra sense of warmth to the stay. Anne’s Welsh breakfast is delicious, and she kindly came up with creative alternatives for my tricky dietary needs. There’s also a nice inn called "Farmers Arms" just a few minutes' drive away in a nearby village if you’re looking to go out for dinner. We truly loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Anne!

My family and I stayed here for a week and had a great time camping, walking, swimming and climbing over rocks at the beaches nearby. At the campsite, toilets, showers and basins were kept spotless by Anne and the campers. Probably the cleanest campsite I've been to. Showers were great. Very nice and quiet except one very windy night which was solved by getting ear plugs. Anne is a lovely and super hardworking lady managing a campsite and a guest house. She's friendly and was great at communicating with us. Large spacious camping pitches. There's a gentle slope on some of the pitches. Hedges between some of the pitches provide privacy. We had a drinking water tap at our pitch which was so convenient.
