About Brooklands Guest House
Portland Place sits within easy reach of the Lake District's fells and the line of Hadrian's Wall, and it's on this Penrith street that Brooklands Guest House makes its home. Cumbria's mix of open countryside and historic border landscape is on the doorstep, making the guest house a sensible base for days out in either direction.
Rooms are en-suite and come with drinks available to guests, and breakfast is included to set you up before heading out. The guest house is adults only, which keeps things quiet, and there's a garden to sit out in when the weather allows, along with garden views from parts of the property. Reception operates around the clock, so arrival times are flexible, and free parking is available on site.
Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all nearby, along with a golf course and further entertainment, so there's no shortage of options once you're back from exploring. It's a straightforward, comfortable place to stay in Penrith, well placed for those splitting their time between the Lakes and the Wall.
Guests mention this guest house offers beautifully decorated, spotless, and comfortable rooms with thoughtful amenities like mini-fridges and coffee makers. They also highlight the delicious, high-quality breakfasts with plenty of choice, including local Cumberland sausage and fluffy scrambled eggs. Visitors consistently praise the welcoming, attentive, and helpful host, Sue, and appreciate the convenient location for exploring the town center.
