Chapelburn

Loch Tay sits at the heart of this part of Perthshire, ringed by hills and open to serious walking country. Chapelburn occupies half an acre on the lochside, with a gate leading directly to the water 500 yards away and a stream and waterfall even closer. The house itself is substantial—five bedrooms, five bathrooms, sleeping ten—arranged across two floors with the ground floor built to take advantage of the views and the decking that runs along the front.

Three ground-floor bedrooms come with king beds and their own shower rooms; two further rooms upstairs have zip-and-link super kings that can split into singles if needed. The living spaces flow into each other: an open-plan area with a 56-inch television and pool table, a second sitting room with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals. Patio doors open onto decking with garden furniture and a gas barbecue. Beyond that sits the hot tub for six and, set into the grounds, a sauna with changing facilities, a natural plunge pool and a separate toilet. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included; logs for the woodburner come with the booking. One dog stays free.

The property works for family groups or friends travelling together. It is not available for hen or stag parties. The grounds have steps and sloping banks, and there is pedestrian access to the loch itself.
