The Bothy
Perth and Kinross
The Bothy is a two-storey end-terrace cottage in the highland village of Fearnan, on the north side of Loch Tay. The ground floor holds two bedrooms—one with a double bed and ensuite bathroom, the other with two single beds and ensuite shower—plus a separate toilet. Upstairs is an open-plan living area with the kitchen, dining space and lounge all flowing together, with patio doors opening onto a balcony that overlooks the loch and surrounding countryside.
The kitchen comes equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and all the basics you'd need to prepare meals. The lounge has a TV, DVD player and CD player for quieter evenings. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. There is parking for one car on site, and smoking is not permitted. The grounds include access to a pier and shared beach on the loch shore, suitable for launching kayaks or small boats. Trout fishing is available on-site.
The location works well for walkers, cyclists and anyone wanting to explore Perthshire. Kenmore village, five miles away, has restaurants, shops and a shingle beach; Fortingall, two miles off, is a conservation village. Water sports and loch cruises are within reach. Note that the loch itself sits about 100 yards from the cottage and is unfenced.
