The Old School House Cottage

The Old School House Cottage sits in the hamlet of Kettins, a rural setting that puts you within reach of Perthshire's arable heartland, the Cairngorms, and the east coast. Everything happens on one level: a living room with an open fire, a kitchen/dining room with full appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine, a bedroom with a king bed and en-suite shower, and a second bedroom with two singles. A second bathroom serves the rest of the property. One dog is welcome at no extra charge.

The essentials are covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, along with logs for the fire. There's a separate outhouse with a tumble dryer and extra fridge/freezer if you need them. Parking is on site. Outside, a patio leads up to a sloped garden with furniture; the garden has a fenced area and a steep bank, so worth noting if you're bringing young children. The cottage is a mile and a half from Coupar Angus and within half an hour of Blairgowrie's glens and the ski slopes at Glenshee. Waymarked walking routes thread through the Vale of Strathmore nearby, and Glamis Castle is a straightforward drive away.
