What guests say
Amazing air conditioning. This place saved us and our children during the heatwave! So comfortable, clean and spacious (and cool!!!). We stayed in the family room and it was lovely. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the entire concept of the hotel is great! Shared spaces, games, books, everything was fun! Walking distance from the Barbican.. The only downside is that the parking isn't of the hotel so it's on first come basis and you need to pay for it (they say it in advance so it wasn't a surprise for us)

We had the best time at this Moxy! We arrived quite late, but bar staff made us feel very welcome. We came with our dog and awkwardly needed to refrigerate her food. The bar staff helped with this and didn't mind my daily asks for another packet. I found everyone who worked here so helpful and friendly. This vibe then extends to the guests. Everyone was very relaxed and open for an easy chat if you caught their eye by the bar or in the elevator which makes a real change from the usual hotels I have stayed in. Decorated to a high standard and rooms were very comfortable with good design taking advantage of every bit of space. We found our room was totally sound proof. We didn't hear anyone else, and when my partner stepped out. He didn't even hear our dog bark a greeting before he came through the door. Loved the breakfast, loved the end of day cocktails. We had such a good experience we will be back. We used it as a base to visit family in Cornwall as well as take in local sites. After such an enjoyable stay we will make a point of checking into other Moxys for our holidays outside of Plymouth. Thank you!

Modern new hotel. Pretty friendly and quite central to town. Young trendy place. Decent price breakfast. Room was fine. They allow dogs though. I saw one in the lobby with no collar or lead on. Surprising.

Fairly new hotel. Rooms all clean, comfy and spacious. Slightly annoying lack of hooks for towels in the bathroom. And I had a light under the bed that wouldn’t turn off but thankfully flicked off eventually by itself. Not a great area - all my visits have provided a view of a vacant lot and a tyre shop - but walkable from railway station and city centre. Breakfast lets it down. Reasonable selection but nothing of decent quality. Excellent cafe round the corner that does good coffee and bacon rolls etc.
