Bwythn Y Saer sits on a sheep and cattle farm that once belonged to the Plas Cilybebyll Estate, positioned between two of Wales's most visited landscapes. The Brecon Beacons rise inland; the Gower Peninsula, Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding National Beauty, spreads toward the coast. Stone farm buildings cluster around a courtyard beside the River Clydach, where herons, red kites and wild trout appear regularly. Walking trails start at the gate—across bluebell woodland, along mountain streams and through hillside pastures—and the farm allows guests to roam over 100 acres of its own land.
Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with woodburner and sofa bed, a bedroom with a double and another sofa bed (sleeping four total), a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a shower room with a walk-in enclosure. An enclosed garden with patio and lawn opens onto the courtyard. Parking is on site. Wi-Fi, electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are provided; one pet is welcome. The surrounding area holds National Showcaves, Mumbles seafront, waterfalls in the Vale of Neath, and mountain-bike trails at Afan Forest Park. No smoking in the property.
