🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Hafod Y Wennol

Neath Port Talbot

Hafod Y Wennol is a detached cottage on a 100-acre working farm between the Brecon Beacons and Gower Peninsula. You get the whole place to yourself: downstairs has a sitting room with woodburner, a kitchen/dining room with electric cooker and dishwasher, and a separate toilet; upstairs holds two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with two singles) and a bathroom with bath and shower. The cottage sits in a courtyard of traditional stone farm buildings, with the River Clydach running nearby—herons, red kites and wild trout are regularly spotted from the windows.

The garden is large and enclosed, with lawn, patio, courtyard and a BBQ. On-site parking and a bike store are available. Essentials including bed linen, towels, WiFi and heating are covered; logs for the woodburner are provided to start you off. Two travel cots, a highchair and a stairgate are available if needed. The working farm welcomes guests to walk its private trails, moving through bluebell woodland, past mountain streams and across hillside pastures with views across the Welsh countryside.

The location puts you within reach of Gower's beaches, the Mumbles seafront, and the Vale of Neath's waterfall walks. Afan Forest Park, known for mountain biking, is nearby. There is a stream in the grounds. Smoking is not permitted.
