Lloc Lo

Neath Port Talbot

Port Talbot sits within reach of some of Wales's most compelling countryside. Lloc Lo is a converted barn on a sheep and cattle farm positioned between two of the region's major draws: the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Gower Peninsula, Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding National Beauty. The property is one of several holiday lets on the 120-acre site, a former home farm of Plas Cilybebyll Estate where the owners themselves live.

Inside, the barn offers two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—and two bathrooms, sleeping four people in total. Downstairs is an open-plan living and kitchen space with a 40-inch smart TV, doors out to a patio, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric cooker, dishwasher, separate microwave and grill. Upstairs holds the bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included; there's also a welcome pack. The property has its own parking for two cars.

Walks begin on the doorstep—a farm trail crosses the private grounds through woodland, streams and hillside pasture. The River Clydach runs through the courtyard, where herons, red kites and wild trout are regularly spotted. Nearby attractions include the Showcaves of Wales, Mumbles with its Victorian promenade, and Afan Forest Park, known for mountain biking and waterfall walks. No smoking inside the property.
