What visitors say
Recently stayed for a couple of nights at Sweet Hill Farm and will definitely return. It's a rustic campsite and nearly wild camping as described, there are pitches with EHU in two fields, lots of choice in different fields without EHU. Plenty of toilets provided as portaloos and they are kept spotlessly clean, there are showers and sinks available too. Great little cafe on site, Eight Kings pub 10 minutes walk with nice food. During the day you have to take a 30-40 minute walk down to Portland Bill, you will see Kestrels and other birds of prey flying above glorious countryside. The scenic walk down the hill is superb with three lighthouses in view. Cafe / restaurant there too called Lobster Pot. There is an equestrian centre on the same site who organise group rides, we didn't book but will next time.

Just back from our second visit, we ADORE this campsite - we must do, to drive almost 4 hours for 2 nights. The views are next level. Very reasonably priced & excellent smoothies. We were lucky enough to be there for free live music last night. Everyone is friendly & the vibe is spot on. We had to change the date twice for this trip & nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to get back!

This gorgeous place is on a farm, surrounded by nature, horses and a short 20 min walk to the lighthouse. I only stayed 1 night and Charlotte was very accommodating and helpful. Letting me park up after the check-in time. They have coin operated showers so take some pound coins. Think I used £2. Portable loos 🚻 in camping fields. They have an onsite cafe with a big variety of food and drinks. You can also buy chicken and duck eggs too! Highly recommend this place for a quiet escape with beautiful scenery. Few upgrades you could make: Bin in showers Area for grey water waste Sign for shower block Sign for safe drinking water 🚰

Easy to find campsite on the Isle of Portland. Stunning sunset views and good access to local hiking. Although the only reason I give 4/5 is because I went just over a month ago after the bank holiday weekend and instead of composting toilets there were portable plastic loos which I really don’t enjoy, which I’m sure they only used for the busy bank holiday but the smell of the hot plastic and waste just throws me off ahah. Apart from that lovely stay, great to see the horses people taking them out, hosts were LOVELY when I pulled up very helpful and chatty. Overall great place, would definitely come back!
