Plas Tan-yr-Allt Country House

Adore this B&B its in a beautiful location for a perfect retreat. Visited in December 2025 with husband returned in March 26 with friend. It's a beautiful house decorated with care and attention to detail. The history oozes out of this building it feels very special to stay in such a lovely place. The rooms are relaxing and I particularly love Shelleys theatre with such a comfy large bed. A fresh Breakfast is served in a beautiful spacious room with wonderful views. The hosts are helpful and attentive. What more can you ask for? we will definitely be back soon.

My husband booked this beautiful place as a surprise for valentines day, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by mark who instantly made us feel welcome. The communication was excellent from offering to book taxi's into the local town for us during our stay and recommending local places to dine. The effort mark and Howard went to make sure our room was the best they had to offer was fantastic, they had spoken to my husband to see if they could offer anything to make our stay more special for valentines day and it truly shown how much effort they had gone to. They had arranged for a beautiful bouquet of purple flowers from the local florist and bottles of prosecco to be chilled in the mini fridge in the room they also added a chocolate rose with a lovely poem. we were shown the breakfast room which was pleasantly decorated also where the drawing room was located then onto our room, 'Shelley's Theatre' upon entering the bedroom we were very pleased, the location and the view we had from the front of the room was nice and peaceful. The room is decorated with beautiful history which you truly can appreciate throughout the whole house. Our stay here was the best we have had in any place we had stayed in, the house is spotless very pleasant throughout with historic furniture the views are spectacular even on a very wet morning the views were not dampened, nothing was to much trouble the breakfast was like a banquet you must stay to truly appreciate this beauty of a house. we look forward to our stay here again in the future thank you to Mark and Howard

We had a lovely weekend here. Very convenient for Portmeirion and the Snowdonia National Park. The house is beautifully furnished, the breakfasts and afternoon tea were excellent and we were made to feel most welcome. I would highly recommend.

The Plas is a historic country house set in a beautiful area of North wales. Its elevated position gives stunning views across the estuary to Porthmadog. We were looked after throughout our stay by Mark. The post booking period information provided was invaluable and complemented our stay. Thank you Howard. Our room was furnished with period furniture and a very comfortable bed. The room was immaculate and clearly well maintained . The attention to detail throughout the communal areas is superb. There is a terrace and several seating areas to enjoy the views. I doubt that there is a better location to enjoy a bottle of wine. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to perfection. You do book breakfast on the night before via QR code or tablet. Our room had all that was needed in terms of provisions. We had a lovely long weekend which was thanks to the dedication of Mark & Howard, thank you. We look forward to returning in the new year.
