The Granary is a converted barn for two in rural Powys, within Bannau Brycheiniog National Park near Brecon. It sits on a working farm where an unfenced stream and pond are part of the grounds. The single bedroom has a king bed and en-suite shower; upstairs is an open-plan living space with a wood-burning stove, kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, and dining area. A door opens onto a small garden with seating. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included, along with initial fuel for the stove.
The location suits walkers and cyclists exploring mid-Wales. Boughrood village is nearby; Hay-on-Wye and Glasbury, both on the River Wye, are within reach for riverside walks, wild swimming, canoe and paddleboard hire. There is parking for one car on site and a bike store. No smoking.

Had a beautiful stay at the Granary. The room was comfortable, and the bath tub was to die for. Joyce is an absolute delight of a host who makes the best breakfast. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and had excellent recommendations for local hikes and things to see. Already planning our next stay.

Beautifully situated yet tucked away converted granary providing a great base for the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Beautiful well equipped room, very comfy bed and the quietest nights. Breakfast is superb with a full compliment of hot and cold choices finished off with a very homely and attentive host, Joyce. Her knowledge of the area is very helpful and there are picturesque walks starting right outside the front door.

Joyce is the perfect host, offering superb accommodation set in a beautiful part of the UK. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. Her breakfasts could be described as legendary, with a wide variety of local produce and lots of options. I had to walk 11 miles to burn it off! A lovely stay and highly recommended.
