About Dartmoor Inn Merrivale
Dartmoor Inn Merrivale suits anyone after a straightforward walking base rather than a fussy retreat - hikers heading out onto the moor, dog owners wanting a place that welcomes pets without question, and drivers glad of free on-site parking. Its position in Princetown puts guests right in the heart of Dartmoor, with open moorland on the doorstep for walking during the day.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, and breakfast is served to set guests up before a day outdoors. The on-site restaurant and bar cover meals and evening drinks, with outdoor seating and a picnic area for fine weather, while 24 hour reception means arrivals aren't tied to a strict schedule.
Beyond the inn itself, there's a pub and further restaurants nearby for those who want a change of scene, and a golf course within reach for a non-walking day. It's a practical, unpretentious stopover for exploring Dartmoor on foot.
