About Langstone Manor Holiday Park
Langstone Manor occupies the walled grounds of a Victorian manor house on Dartmoor's western edge, a couple of miles from Tavistock and directly beneath the open moor at Whitchurch Down. Pitches are terraced among mature trees and old garden walls, making it noticeably more sheltered than most moorland sites—reviewers consistently praise how protected it feels on windy nights. The manor house itself holds a bar and restaurant serving evening meals, unusual for a park of this size and genuinely useful when the weather turns. Facilities include modern shower blocks, laundry, a children's play area, and Wi-fi around the main buildings. Dogs are welcome, with plenty of space to walk them straight from the gate.
The location is the real draw. Open moorland begins within a few hundred metres, giving direct walking access to Cox Tor, Great Mis Tor and the Merrivale stone rows without needing the car. Tavistock's covered Victorian pannier market is a short drive or decent walk, while Plymouth and the south coast are around forty minutes away. Popular with walkers and stargazers, it stays quieter than the coastal parks even in August.

Lovely caravan. Very clean and well appointed. Great welcome by staff. We were there last week in the hottest week of the year so far. Beautiful park with lovely trees and amazing mix of bird life. Also several baby rabbits nibbling the grass. Walk onto Dartmoor within minutes of the campsite. Going to have to revisit in September. Thanks to everyone involved.

Can’t rate this place enough. It.s so conveniently placed to explore Dartmoor, without being too far away from civilisation, Tavistock is within walking distance! The amenities on site are very well maintained, toilets, showers and grounds etc. The reception is well stocked with essential food items including fresh milk and meats. Also beer and wine at very reasonable prices. Stayed in a pod on this occasion. Electric, heater and TV. Water tap and parking next to the pod. Such a wonderful place to stay, staff super friendly. Would definitely return.

What a wonderful campsite! The site had everything you could possibly need: a shop (+ you could pre-order freshly baked breakfast rolls or croissants), washing up facility, washer/dryer, toilet and shower block, plus there was a lovely little pub on-site too with freshly served food. The staff were lovely and really helpful, everything was really clearly explained and the facilities were well kept and clean. The best bit was that there’s sooo many lovely walks in your doorstep! We could easily access the moors and also did a walk into Tavistock. I’d definitely recommend this site.

What a camping site to visit!!!!! We stayed in a glamping pod on site. It was a lovely place to stay, very cosy and spacious it was perfect for what we wanted. The facilities on site were fab and the restaurant/pub was friendly and welcoming as were the camp site staff from the moment we got there. The site itself was situated in stunning surroundings which was very tranquil but also about 10 mins drive from the centre of Tavistock. I will 100% be going back and this time will try camping because the pitches looked just as good!
