I have stayed here and I absolutely love it. I had a magnificent, spacious room with a fabulous bathroom (bath and shower). It had a fridge and a microwave, which is such a bonus. The staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is superb. The location is fantastic. Close to everything. A bus stop right outside the hotel if you don't want to use your car. A very large car park and free WiFi. I was sorry to go home.

The building is old, the rooms are very dated and some of them smell of smoke or the unidentifiable odors that come with age. However, the staff are nice and the rooms are as clean as they can be. Feels like what I imagine a half way house to be like...if you're out of options and looking for somewhere cheap in a decent location, it does what it needs to do but if travelodge isn't booked out / the same price, go there

Be wary of rooms you chose, call reception & confirm as Club rooms are no more than glorified prison cells seen in movies. I had to upgrade to Family Room to sustain living for 2 weeks. Rooms are in very bad shape due to old structure, not to forget a small wall hanging Fan in terrible heat (no AC). Service is decent, team onsite is helpful & breakfast is good. Rates are way too high for the property & everything considered.

Travelling for work so I always get this hotel booked for me for it's location, big car park and overspill, close to bus stops, 1 mile walk to town centre. Bar with drinks, snacks, homemade bar meals £12.50. Nearby shops and takeaways, close to university. All the rooms have a microwave and fridge for your own food and cutlery. Rooms have soap and bottles of shampoo in the washrooms. Leaflets for tourists. Breakfast available with homemade yoghurt, and your regular breakfast requests on menu. 😊 Staff are fantastic and effective at sorting any queries with bookings in person or over the phone.
