The Blue Loft

Rye sits a mile away, its medieval streets now lined with wine bars and restaurants worth the short drive. Camber's golden sand dunes are close enough for an afternoon of kite surfing, windsurfing or dinghy sailing lessons, or simply a walk to the water's edge. Winchelsea beach, quieter and less crowded, rewards a visit at low tide when shrimping becomes possible. The Saxon Shore Way runs through the area for those who prefer to explore on foot, and the nature reserve at Rye Harbour draws birdwatchers and walkers alike.

The Blue Loft is a detached property set among sheep-filled fields with views toward the hilltop town of Rye. Downstairs holds a living and dining room with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a double bedroom with French doors that open onto a decked terrace. Upstairs is a second double bedroom. One shower room serves both. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard; the woodburner has its initial fuel provided. Two cars park on site. A pub and restaurant are half a mile away; the nearest shop is a mile and a half. No smoking throughout.
