About The Playden Oasts Inn
The Playden Oasts Inn takes its character from a set of converted oast houses on Rye Road, just outside Rye in East Sussex, giving the building its distinctive rounded roofline and a sense of history not found in a standard roadside hotel. The eight rooms inside are comfortable and straightforward, with air conditioning and free WiFi as standard, and drinks available in room for those who want a quiet night in rather than a trip down to the bar.
Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without needing to go anywhere else, plus breakfast served on site each morning. The garden gives a spot to sit outside, and the inn also has meeting rooms and hosts weddings, making it as suited to a function as to an overnight stay. Free on-site parking, a lift, luggage storage and childcare are all provided, and pets are welcome too.
Rye itself is close by, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment in the surrounding area, so guests have plenty of choice for exploring beyond the inn. It works well as a comfortable, no-fuss base for visiting the town and the wider East Sussex countryside.
