Having been a guest in the past week, so during the exceptional hot weather, it became immediately obvious that the hotel does not have air conditioning. Temperatures in some bedroom were in excess of 30c which badly affected the ability to sleep. Fans were provided but in that heat, they merely served to move hot air around the room. Top marks to the staff - especially the girls on the waiting staff who coped with the heat with amazing patience.

What a fab hotel. We stayed 5 nights and what a good deal it was for the price! The room was clean and had views out to the sea, which was fab especially as there was such a beautiful sunset one night. A comfortable bed, good shower and such lovely fluffy towels, lovely to have a robe available too. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Shout out to the room staff - every day they cleaned and made the bed leaving it like new again. Plenty of little milks to last through to the morning cuppa too, which I appreciated. Dinner on the first night was delicious and so were breakfasts each morning. No long wait for the hot food, it was served promptly. We had tea and cake in the lounge on two afternoons, a large portion of cake which was delicious each time. We appreciated the car parking arrangements and for £5 per day it was certainly worth doing. We would certainly return and would fully recommend this hotel - give it a go!

We have just stayed in this hotel and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND, the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they were on the ball with the service. We had a meal every night, the week we were there and have to say each meal was delicious and cooked to perfection. The location was perfect with the bus depot opposite and the train station plus the hovercraft too. We will definitely recommend and visit again Thank you all so much!

BEST CHRISTMAS EVER We have just come back from the 4 night Christmas package deal. We had a fantastic time away, could not fault it. What a great team all working together to deliver a great Christmas. We have been to the Royal Esplanade on numerous occasions in the past, and they have the same staff. Mike, the owner was there helping and chatting to people, I think that was really nice. A big thank you to Hannah who sorted my wife's food allergies. Overall a 11 out of 10 Great job and we will be back soon. Many thanks again. Chris and Viv Green
