About Rother Valley Caravan and Camping Park
Rother Valley Caravan and Camping Park sits just outside Northiam in East Sussex, making a convenient base for touring this corner of the county and nearby Rye. The site offers a mix of grass pitches – some electric, some not – plus a dedicated woodland area for those after a little more seclusion. Facilities cover the basics well: clean toilet blocks, showers, washing-up areas and a launderette, plus there's a play area for families. Campfires and barbecues are both permitted, and dogs are welcome year-round.
With space for rallies, groups and motorcyclists, it's a relaxed, no-frills spot that ticks the boxes without much fuss. The pitch-side parking and chemical disposal add to the practicality, though don't expect bells and whistles – this is straightforward camping done well.

What visitors say
This campsite is absolutely perfect for a family getaway. Our three young boys had so much fun running around with the dog, hours in the playground area, exploring the surrounding woodland, and boating on the near by river. The steam train passing right by the site was a lovely bonus—it's surprisingly quiet and not disruptive at all since it’s only a light service. The facilities are great, with electricity at each pitch and brand-new, clean showers and toilets. There’s also an outdoor washing area for dishes, plus a communal fridge and freezer to store food. The views here are gorgeous, the sunsets across the hills are stunning, and the whole site has a wonderful, calm atmosphere. Perfect for families and couples alike!

A brilliant campsite in a great location. Clean facilities, friendly owners, excellent amenities, and beautiful sunset views. The river and boat hire nearby were an added bonus. Highly recommended.

What a super site. Clean and quiet ( but we were before school holidays! )We took a woodland pitch lucky choice for the 30 degree heat! We were delivered a picnic table and moral support in attaching the awning. A great experience for our first night with our campervan.

This is my favourite campsite and our third or fourth stay! It’s such a relaxed and clean site with great facilities which are always kept clean. The kids love the little shop with lots of sweets and little toys to buy! Thank you to the owners for their patience with the kids keep visiting the shop 😅 the Easter egg hunt for Easter Sunday was great and the kids were spoilt! The play area, enclosed woods and open field area for the kids to play are awesome. The Indian restaurant/takeaway by the entrance is always a hit for our first night after setting up, it’s the best tikka masala my daughter said she’s ever had, and she’s had a few! We had a lovely lunch at the lime cafe just over the river too. Highly recommend this site for families!
