About Sarum College
The Close at Salisbury is one of the largest cathedral closes in England, a quiet expanse of grass and old stone buildings gathered around the cathedral itself, and it's here, at number 19, that Sarum College makes its home. The setting is unhurried: wide lawns, mature trees and the cathedral spire overhead, with the city's shops, pubs and restaurants all within easy walking distance beyond the Close gates.
The building offers 52 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, and there are accessible rooms and a lift for those who need them. Breakfast is included, there's a bar on site for evening drinks, and free WiFi runs throughout. Outside, guests can make use of the garden, a picnic area and outdoor seating, while meeting rooms and wedding facilities make the college a practical choice for gatherings as well as overnight stays. Free on-site parking and 24-hour reception add convenience for those arriving at any hour.
Beyond the Close, the surrounding area suits walkers and cyclists, with a golf course also within reach, and Salisbury itself offers plenty of places to eat, drink and be entertained. Luggage storage is available for those breaking up a longer journey through Wiltshire.
