What visitors say
Upon arrival I was told to camp anywhere and plug into the electricity as there is no designated spots. I was amazed to find there were no spare electricity points even though I'd paid extra for it. We were given a refund but had no electricity for the night. At the on-site fish and chip shop it showed vegan spring rolls on the board, when asked if they're cooked separately from the meat I was told no. When I said they're not really vegan then I was told abruptly if I want vegan then to go to a real fish and chip shop! I was going to write this review straight away but there was no signal and the wifi didn’t work either. A bad choice.

Camped here in June 2026 and was a highlight of our NC500 tour. The site is clean and tidy and has the benefit of its own fish and chip shop. Their deep fried Chilli Haggis burgers are amazing! It has immediate access to two of the best beaches in Scotland, which because of its location, were very quiet. Bring a wetsuit and snorkel and go exploring, it’s ace.

Stayed on this site for one night on our NC500 trip. A lovely setting overlooking a rocky beach then round the corner a beautiful white sandy beach where we had an evening swim. Checked in by a lovely friendly lady and told to park where we wanted. There is a shop selling essentials and a fish and chip shop ... which were delicious. Facilities aren't the best we've had during our trip but was fine for one night. The ground is a little uneven and there doesn't seem to be any structure to parking up, ie. some vans parked across pitches and others straight on. Thankfully we got there early and got a good pitch with EHU.

Lovely campsite with short walk to beach. Ladies shower rooms/ bathrooms were always well stocked and the water was HOT!! Also really appreciated the communal hair dryer. Grocery shop and fish&chip shop onsite were extremely useful. Very grateful to have access to the laundrettes with washers and dryers, even access to a freezer for freezing cool blocks. Be wary of ticks 🪲🫶
