Finally found proper Teochew food in London! The seafood clay pot congee is a must – piping hot, silky smooth, packed with fresh prawn and crab. Also tried the braised pork & pork trotter combo rice, super rich and comforting. The crispy spring rolls were another highlight. Friendly service and generous portions. Around £20-30 per person. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Chinese comfort food.

Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere is beautiful and elegant, with a warm traditional Chinese feel that makes the whole dining experience feel special and authentic. The interior is thoughtfully designed and really captures the charm of Chinese culture. What I especially appreciated was that the staff didn’t just serve the food — they also introduced the background and history of Huaiyang cuisine, which made the meal much more interesting and meaningful. It felt like more than just dinner, but a cultural experience as well. The service was excellent throughout: attentive, welcoming, and professional without being intrusive. Food-wise, the braised beef brisket was outstanding — incredibly tender, rich in flavour, and perfectly cooked. The seafood congee was also excellent, very fresh, comforting, and full of flavour. A lovely place for both the food and the experience. Would definitely come back.

Had a comforting Teochew-style dinner at One Rice 🤍 The crab congee looked very impressive when served — rich, flavourful and perfect for sharing. The highlight for me was definitely the lo mein with pork trotter & spicy beef brisket — the noodles were super springy and had a great bite. The Teochew pork roll was quite interesting, with a crispy exterior and a filling of minced pork and water chestnuts. We also tried the chilled pork ears and duck tongue, both well-seasoned and great as cold starters. Overall, a simple, comforting and satisfying meal. If you’re around Brick Lane, it’s worth giving it a try ✨

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The food was simple but really comforting — the cold spinach was fresh and light, the crab congee was warm and soothing, and the beef brisket rice was very satisfying. We also enjoyed the fried pork and the sweet taro for dessert. The atmosphere felt warm and relaxed, a bit like a small restaurant near a university. It reminded us of home.
