What guests say
Good visit here for an overnight stop. Friendly, helpful staff, particularly Amanda O. Good pub food, a little pricey, but not much else here, pub wise for an evening out. Lovely setting, comfortable restaurant area. Off street parking. The room itself, I gave only 3 because although it was comfortable with an ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities etc. I found the room not to my personal liking, due to the lack of windows and air. Glass in the door only with obscure fenestation. Others may not be so concerned. Good local walk (before breakfast) to the church and church farm. Good breakfast. Very flexible for chose with cooked, yoghurt and toast on offer.

One of the best meals we have eaten. The menu catered for everyone. The only problem was choosing what to eat as it all sounded delicious. When the food arrived the attention to detail was amazing, but when you ate it surpassed all expectations, everything was delicious The waiting staff were friendly and attentive.

4th time here but doubt we will be back after they’ve waited until the hardest time for customers to start adding a 10% gratuity charge onto the bill, sorry but this isn’t America where waitresses live off their tips, left a sour taste and though the food was good and the service was ok the fact they had no Rosé by the glass is very poor and £8.95 for a medium glass of house pinot is steep! Everything is rounded up in price now also, £10 each starter, £25 main roasts and £10 each pudding, new owner is a bit aloof and reading the reviews it seems she’s also losing it on her replies 😔
