Shrawardine House comprises two renovated farm cottages positioned side by side, purpose-built for large groups. Seven bedrooms across both properties sleep 16 guests in a mix of king, double, single and bunk beds. Four bathrooms—including en-suites to some of the king rooms—mean mornings run smoothly. The larger cottage has a garden room where everyone gathers to eat, warmed by a wood burner on cooler days, and you'll find a cooker range, wine fridge and Smart TV inside. The second cottage contains a snug that works well as a separate retreat. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided; the essentials are covered.
Outside is where the appeal really lies. Wraparound patios and handmade seating encourage extended time outdoors, while the hot tub offers proper post-walk soaks. Fenced gardens give children space to play and explore. Beyond the garden boundary, meadows slope down to the River Severn—walk to the water's edge, fish, or find a quiet spot to sit. One dog is welcome. The property does not permit smoking.
This works for multi-generational family breaks, reunions and celebrations where groups want the comfort of separate spaces but the flexibility to come together. Riverside walks, countryside quiet and enough room that 16 people needn't feel crowded.
