The Cottage

Couples and small families will find The Cottage a practical base for exploring Somerset's attractions. It's a semi-detached property on the outskirts of Wells, under a mile from the cathedral and high street. The layout spreads across two floors: downstairs holds the living room, dining room and kitchen, plus a bathroom with bath and shower; upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a king bed and ensuite toilet, the other with two single beds. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, and there's parking for one car on site.

The kitchen has a range cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. An enclosed garden with furniture gives outdoor space, bordered on one side by a stream. The cottage is non-smoking. Wells itself offers a cathedral, bishops' palace and leisure centre with pool, while the wider area holds Glastonbury Abbey, Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge and Bath's Roman remains—all within an hour's drive. Shops and a pub are within walking distance.
