Exmoor National Park draws walkers, cyclists and anyone seeking moorland quiet. West Hollowcombe Farm sits in the hamlet of Hawkridge, close enough to reach Dulverton's shops and the moor's named trails—Tarr Steps, Wimbleball Lake, Dunster and Porlock are all within reach—yet far enough out to feel genuinely remote. The property sleeps four across two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and the whole place is yours alone.
The layout is unusual: bedrooms downstairs mean peaceful sleeping quarters away from daytime noise, while upstairs the living space opens out loft-style with comfortable seating, a woodburner, dining table and kitchen. You can cook proper meals or keep things simple; everything needed for either is provided. Wi-Fi, heating and electricity are included, along with bed linen and towels.
The real draw is outside. A wood-fired hot tub sits on the grounds facing valley views and Exmoor's dark skies—the kind of place to soak under stars after a day on the moor. A south-facing patio has space for breakfast or lunch in the sun. Parking for two cars is on-site. Smoking is not permitted. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
