The Jurassic Coast is a 12-mile drive away, and inland lie Forde Abbey, Montacute House, the cider mills at Dowlish, and Glastonbury. Closer still, country walks and cycling start from the door, and a pub sits less than a mile away. Whitegate View is a self-contained wing of the owner's home in Forton, near Chard, positioned for exploring Somerset, Dorset and Devon without being hemmed in by any one of them.
Two bedrooms—a double and a single—plus a double sofa bed in the living room means five guests can sleep here. The whole property is yours alone. Everything happens on the ground floor: a kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher for proper cooking; a living and dining room with a gas fire and television; and a bathroom with bath and shower. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. There is private parking for three cars and a patio leading into a large garden.
The village shop is a mile and a half away. Children under four are not suitable for this property due to an unfenced lake in the grounds 100 yards distant. No smoking indoors.
