Ardwell Cottage sits on the Ayrshire Coastal Path between Girvan and Ballantrae, close enough to reach Girvan's shops and leisure centre in minutes, and Turnberry Golf Resort within a 10-minute drive. The coastline here is a designated site of Special Scientific Interest, home to red squirrels, deer, otters, seals and nesting birds. From the cottage you can walk to a sandy beach and lighthouse, continue to Maidens harbour village, or venture inland to Culzean Castle estate and the castles scattered through Burns' Country.
The property sleeps four across two bedrooms—a king and two singles—with one bathroom on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, and the living room has a large picture window. An enclosed garden with seating looks towards the sea. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. One dog is welcome and stays free, though must be kept on a lead as sheep graze nearby. There is private parking for three cars, and you have the whole cottage to yourself. Smoking is not permitted. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00.

Just had 5 days here, again love place. The beds a bit uncomfortable, But we didn't get to go anywhere this time. My partner went fishing off the rocks. There was a lit of rabbits around this year. Will go back .

Just spent a wonderful weekend in Ardwell. Was sad to leave as still so much to explore in the area. The chalets are in a beautiful location, right at the seafront. They are spacious and incredibly comfortable with all you need from bathroom and shower to full kitchen and an awesome sea-facing balcony. Will be back!

We rolled up to the chalet on Friday afternoon and were instantly hit with all the cozy vibes! The place was not only beautifully decorated but also sparkling clean. The beds were like clouds, and we drifted off to sleep with the soothing sound of the sea outside—talk about nature's lullaby! And let's not forget the power showers, which were an absolute dream—hot water galore, leaving us refreshed and ready for anything!

The perfect getaway I’ve been coming to the ardwell chalets for over 20 years and was devastated to hear about them being damaged in the storm a couple years back. Once I heard that they had been replaced with new and improved cabins, I couldn’t wait to book my stay. My partner and myself managed to get a cabin for the Easter bank holiday weekend, and it’s been bliss! Chris and the team have gone above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect and have been so accommodating and truly helpful. The cabins are definitely a huge improvement and the view is as perfect as it always has been. If you’re looking for a relaxing break, with indescribable views, friendly hosts and an affordable price, ardwell chalets is the most perfect spot. ☀️
