Torcross Barn

South Ayrshire

View on Google Maps

Torcross Barn is a converted barn in South Ayrshire, sleeping six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The ground floor contains an open-plan living and dining space with a 42-inch television, plus a kitchen equipped with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Upstairs, the first bedroom is a king with its own shower room; the second is a double; the third has two single beds. Central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, and there is parking for two cars on site.

The property sits within walking distance of Tarbolton village, with the coastal towns of Ayr, Troon and Prestwick nearby. The Ayrshire Coastal Path can be accessed easily for walks with views across to Arran, and the River Ayr Way offers a source-to-sea route for longer expeditions. Galloway Forest Park—Britain's largest, covering three hundred square miles—is a short drive away, with valleys, moorland, woodland and lochs, plus red and roe deer, wild goats and birds of prey. The park is one of only four Dark Sky Parks in the western world; the Scottish Dark Observatory is at Dalmellington, also close by. One dog stays free and can use the kennels on the property if needed; there is also stabling for horses and a bike store. No smoking inside.
