What diners say
It was great from start to finish. The speed of service was amazing, never been somewhere that was so quick at getting the food out. The staff were so helpful and friendly and got seen to a table straight away. The man was so helpful at getting my bill and taking the discount off my bill through the app. I had Beef Burgioion and the beef was so tender and easy to eat and lovely creamy buttery mash. My tea was lovely and hot served in a nice glass cup. The turnaround was so quick, quick at getting food on the table. Definitely recommend it to anyone and would definitely visit again.

(03/04/2026) I’m quite a fan of the Côte Brasserie chain. Today’s spontaneous, last-minute booking was at the Royal Festival Hall (after an intense, Eastertide musical performance in another part of London). The meal was, as usual, dependable … all the more special thanks to a free Hugo Blanc cocktail. This came as a loyalty gift via the seemingly ever-giving Côte mobile app. I tried the new Côte Cuvée red wine, which I’m happy to make my wine of choice going forward. My steak frites, enhanced with extra free-flow frites, was par for the course. You do have to remember to look out for the fat cap at the edge of the steak. The typically fast cooking time of this steak cut generally leaves it chewy and inedible. As an extra treat, I tried the pistachio crème brûlée for the first time. This had a thin dusting of pistachio crumb, which added subtly to the flavour. The sugar crust was crunchy and thin, a nice complement to the not overly sweet but rich, creamy base. The waiting staff were attentive and very friendly. (26/01/2026) Dependable Côte dining with an old colleague - all the more enjoyable because of the company and a special January set meal deal!

I made the mistake to book it for Father’s Day lunch - one of the worst meals in memory. The staff try but sadly the quality is appalling. I had had a meal here a couple of months ago and found it cheap and cheerful, very decent for the price so decided to book it ahead of visiting an exhibition at the Southbank (and because it’s dog friendly) Today was a ‘never again’ moment. Starters for my husband and child were fine But then the mains. ‘Steak frites’ was thin and bland, and though as old boots. My sons ‘croque cheese and ham’ was pathetic. EasyJet do a better cheese and toastie on board - this one was a sad slice of brioche with a cheese string covered by some ham and some grated melty cheese on top. The worst thing was my Caesar salad. The soft boiled egg was almost raw and stone cold (cooked hours prior) and the extra chicken was absolutely disgusting. Texture of jackfruit, mushy and slimy. I couldn’t eat it and the manager took the £5 charge off the bill (fair) I am glad I did check the bill though as we had also been charged for a 3 course set meal when we only had 2. Add to the experience that we had to ask twice for a tub of ketchup and that the complimentary drink for dads was either a beer or a Bloody Mary (eg nothing else to pick from) this was a major rip off for £78 When so many great places shut down due to cost, only chains like Cote can stay open in prime locations like the Southbank, be 1/3 full on Father’s Day and offer such poor quality, masked by reasonable prices (with mark up on drinks of course). I totally fell for it. Avoid at all cost. Sadly only took a photo of my horrible salad.

Gorgeous breakfast, I had the berries and vanilla chantilly french toast and it was perfection. My friend had the salmon eggs on toast. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back another time!
