Nightingale Lodge
South Kesteven
Nightingale Lodge is a two-bedroom cottage converted from a former farmhouse, with enough space for four guests. Downstairs holds the living room, kitchen and dining area, plus a conservatory that frames views across the paddock—the kind of room you'll return to throughout the day. Bedroom 1 has two single beds and a bathroom with bath and shower; upstairs, Bedroom 2 offers a king bed and its own ensuite. The woodburner in the living room works well for cooler evenings, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are all covered.
The property sits on the edge of a village within the Rutland and South Kesteven landscape. A pub and restaurant are about a mile away on foot. The enclosed garden has furniture for sitting out, and there is private parking for two cars. Nearby Stamford is known for its Georgian architecture, while Oakham and Rutland Water—set across 3,000 acres with walking and cycling routes—are short drives away. Lincoln, Newark and Norfolk's coast are all within reach for day trips. Non-smokers only.
