About Scarisbrick Hotel Southport
Scarisbrick Hotel Southport is a substantial five-floor building on Lord Street, one of the town's best-known streets, with 126 rooms making it one of the bigger places to stay in the area. Its scale and traditional character give it the feel of a long-standing Southport institution rather than a modern chain hotel.
Rooms are generally clean and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms available, and beds that guests find comfortable, and there's a lift for easier access across the five floors. Some rooms can pick up noise from nearby nightlife, so light sleepers may want to bear this in mind when booking. A restaurant and bar are on site, breakfast and packed lunches can be arranged, and there's a snack bar, drinks in room, meeting rooms, and free WiFi throughout. Pets are welcome, though there is no parking available at the property.
The location is the standout feature: shops, pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all close by, with golf and fishing available nearby too. It's a straightforward, well-placed base for exploring Southport, with rooms considered good value for money, even if service is not always consistent.

We arrived to the hotel we was happy we could check in earlier, the staff were ok service with a smile wouldn’t go a miss they just looked miserable. We stayed at this hotel last weekend for one night for my partners birthday, we wasn’t happy with the room it smelt of not a very nice smell. The bathroom had stains in the bath, 1x small towel more like a tea towel for 2 people was ridiculous. The bed had thin sheet on rock hard bed. We stayed on the 4th floor and all we could smell all down the corridor was poo The hotel had a pool in there but it wasn’t open, the bar wasn’t open so really it cost us £65 too sleep in a smelly room. We won’t be staying here again. The location was good but not hotel sadly.

Room was clean, towels and bedding spotless. Good shower and lovely hot water. Staff very helpful, went above and beyond to accommodate. Food, plenty of choice and very tasty. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend. Thank you for your hard work and looking after us.

IDO MOT STAY HERE! DIRTY, UNCOMFORTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I booked this hotel through Expedia for three nights. The photos and reviews said that the hotel was clean and comfortable, however, upon check-in, I found that it was dirty, dated, and the room did not look st all as advertised. For example, The toilet in the bathroom wouldn’t flush, the room was tiny and cramped and claustrophobic, it was very hot, a piece of wall molding fell off when I closed the door to the bathroom, the carpets were all dirty and stained. The towels were tattered and shredded. Because I checked in very late, I stayed the first night, but called Expedia to ask if they could intervene. They tried to reach out to hotel staff, but received no answer. They told me to go and talk to the staff in the morning. I did so and the clerk told me she couldn’t assist me, but that I needed to go through Expedia. Which was a lie. She refused to even look at the email they’d sent or to check my reservation. Long story short, the hotel refused to issue any kind of refund even though I went ahead and checked out after only one night and made other arrangements elsewhere because it was so disgusting and uncomfortable.

Stayed during The Open, so this normally £40/night room was upwards of £280/night. Fair to say it was not worth the price. Dated building and furniture, although clean and renovated bathrooms. Hot rooms in the summer. Loud surrounding pubs all through the night. Fortunately only stayed one night and was just a place to sleep. Would not stay again.
