We went to this pub for a lunch to celebrate a birthday. We were given a very nice quiet corner of the pub with some natural light coming through the window. The pub is quite dark and that was nice to create a lighter atmosphere for the table. The staff were friendly throughout our stay, and they were a good number on hand for table service. Their larger were bottle only. They were a good number of options on the menu, and I had the beef cheek for the main course which was very tender and delicious. There are a good number of side vegetable dishes that can be ordered, we had the carrots and the cauliflower cheese which were well cooked. We had a bottle of the claret, which was very delicious and well priced. An interesting pub with some very traditional features.

This is such a wonderful pub! We booked a table for a small group in the courtyard and they were so attentive and welcoming. No large deposits, no minimum spend, no restrictions on adding some table decorations. Such a classy place with top staff! Inside is dark wood and atmospheric with lots of little nooks. The courtyard at the back is charming and and sheltered for hot days. We didn't have a full meal - just some snacks and some prosecco (which was so good!) - but I will definitely go back soon to sample some more of the menu.

A traditional wine bar tucked away off the more beaten track nr Borough Market. Good food andcm wine, attentive team, consistently good and calm. Few great wine bars [original style & atmosphere] exists... this is one of the best still around, and not impacted by time. Go see.

We had a baby shower in the private room and the service was excellent and the atmosphere perfect! I would definitely recommend their private room for events. Location is very easy to find - close to London Bridge Station.
