The Medicinema at Guy's hospital in London was a total joy during the 7 weeks I was on the thoracic wards this summer. Manager Nicky and her team were a delight, and I got to watch several new films, from the Wham documentary to Oppenheimer, while on a chest drain. It's the weirdest and most wonderful cinema I've ever been in, with people in nighties, some on beds with oxygen and some on the (very comfy) multicoloured seats, all enjoying the relief of fleeing the wards for a blissful couple of hours, and nurses and volunteers in the wings so you always feel safe. Not even the alt cinema in my city, Brighton, which lets you drink wine during the films, could ever compete. But the main point of this charity is to give some happiness to the children who have to endure stints in hospital. Big love to Medicinema x

When I was in Guys hospital having surgery I was fortunate enough to see Thor Love & Thunder at Medicinema. Not only was the film and the cinema itself amazing but the volunteers and nurses were so kind and thoughtful. I was having surgery the next morning and it let me have a break from reality and some normality for one evening. Thank you so much ❤️

Yes like much becouse I went to get the vaccine and it is a pretty good hospital center and its people are very nice
