We had such a wonderful lunch at Crispin and a huge part of that was thanks to Michael. From the moment we sat down he made us feel completely looked after. He was so attentive and knowledgeable, and took the time to talk us through the wines in such an engaging way that each recommendation felt like a story rather than just a suggestion. You could really tell how much he cares about creating a great experience. His food recommendations were excellent and everything we ordered was incredible. Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully put together and absolutely delicious. The wine we had alongside the meal was also wonderful and complemented everything perfectly. A huge thank you to Michael for making the lunch feel so special, and to the chefs for such outstanding food. We left already looking forward to coming back!

We had an amazing time here at Crispin, we booked it on a whim and had no idea how good it would be!! I’ve recommended it to everyone I know and am due to come back for a family birthday over the next few weeks. Michael was without a doubt the best waiter we’ve ever had, anywhere. There wasn’t a single thing he didn’t know about the menu or wine list and he gave us brilliant recommendations. Michael was a perfect balance of professional and personable and really make our dining experience special. I honestly cannot recommend Crispin enough, and if you’re lucky enough to be looked after by Michael then I can guarantee you’re in for a real treat. For the food we started with almost all the small plates on the menu, we had burrata with a delicious artichoke and tomato sauce, goats curd and radicchio, Paxton peppers, pickled vegetables, potatoes and crème fraiche, and even their bread and browned butter was to die for! We then moved on to the pork with sage and the cavalo Nero pappardelle. I honestly cannot describe how amazing this pasta was, it was delicate but bursting with flavour at the same time! The pork was delicious too, we asked Michael about the flavours and the chef had experimented with a blood orange gravy that had been used in a different dish before. It was incredible! We finished with the browned butter cake and a scoop of pear ice cream, and old fashioned and a martini. The browned butter cake was out of this world! I’d go back just for that. The menu is constantly changing but I can guarantee whatever you order will be incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough!

An absolute delight, please take my money good 😀 I was so impressed by the quality of the cooking, the flavours, and very importantly for 2026 – the portion sizes! We (2 pax) shared six small plates, a whole grilled sole, dessert, and a bottle of natural wine, and it came out to £190. It was a filling meal – the crab meat with salsify appetiser, the padron peppers with sumac, and fried olives were all just beautiful. The natural wine was also very good, an orange Xarel-Lo from Catalunya. Interesting little building adjacent to a brand new office building in Spitalfields. I will be back!

Excellent spot that is ‘small plates’ done right. Fantastic range of cocktails (margaritas were a real highlight) and range of food. Our favourites were the bread and butter, the olives, trout, bass and brown butter cake. We sat outside (rare moment of sunshine in the English spring), and the space was lovely. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
