Bowness-on-Windermere is such a beautiful and relaxing place to visit. We did the 45-minute Windermere Lake Cruise and the whole experience was very well organised from start to finish. Despite the queues, boarding was smooth, the boat was very clean, and there was even a nice bar downstairs. The live commentary during the cruise made it even more enjoyable, with interesting information about the surroundings throughout the journey. Definitely worth doing when visiting the Lake District.

An absolutely memorable experience and one of the highlights of visiting the Lake District. The cruise was smooth, well-organized, and offered breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. The boats are clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to enjoy the scenery from both inside and the open deck. Staff were professional, friendly, and efficient, making the entire journey relaxing and enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to the Lakes, this cruise is a must-do. It gives you a completely different and stunning perspective of the region. Highly recommended.

We bought the Freedom of the Lake Return tickets which allowed us to cruise around in 24 hours. It is absolutely worthy of the investment. We took all Red, Blue and Yellow routes and enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend if stay here for more than a day. Beautiful scenery and serene experience.

We hired the boat the tern for a 2 hour evening cruise around Windermere for the night before our wedding. It was one of the best decisions we made, all of our guests were blown away. Even on a mid April evening we were lucky to get a little sunshine but with the boat having a few indoor sections with the heating on and the bar open it was perfect! They rolled out the red carpet to welcome us on board, literally!! Great communication in the lead up and so grateful that we included this within our wedding, highly recommend and thank you.
