Craigmuick Cottage

The Trossachs and Loch Lomond draw visitors for their mountains, lochs and woodland, and Craigmuick Cottage sits deep within Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, accessed via a forestry track through one and a half acres of mixed woodland. The River Duchray borders the property; red squirrels, osprey and red deer move through the area. Aberfoyle village, two miles away, has a supermarket, shops and restaurants when you need supplies or a meal out.

The cottage dates to the 1800s and has been renovated throughout, blending original stone features with modern comforts. Five bedrooms and four bathrooms accommodate ten guests. Downstairs, the open-plan living space centres on a wood-burning Aga, while the dining table seats the whole group. The kitchen has a range cooker and is properly equipped for substantial cooking; there is also a utility room for washing and drying. Wi-Fi keeps you connected despite the remote setting, though mobile coverage does not reach here. Electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided. The whole property is yours alone, and one well-behaved dog is welcome. No smoking indoors.
