Crianlarich Retreats - Garth Cottage

The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park wraps around Callander, a village sitting where lowland meadows begin to fold into Highland glens. Garth Cottage occupies riverside ground here, positioned to catch the sound and sight of running water from its main rooms. A single bedroom with king-size bed, a bathroom with bath and shower, and an open-plan living and kitchen space make up the whole property—yours alone, with parking for one car and a private hot tub in the back garden.

The cottage is fitted for comfort: underfloor heating runs throughout, the kitchen has everything needed for self-catering, and essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. The layout is uncluttered and ground-floor accessible. Large windows face the river, and a terrace provides outdoor seating. Note that the river runs unfenced through the grounds.

Within easy reach are Killin village, with its shops, cafés and pubs, and the Falls of Dochart where the river drops over rock. Loch Tay lies nearby for paddleboarding and kayaking. Walkers can access the Ben Lawers range and numerous hill tracks across the surrounding country. The cottage suits couples and solo travellers wanting a quiet base with room to explore or simply sit by the water.

We had a fabulous half term holiday here. The breakfasts were second to none and kept the adults going till late afternoon! Great base for exploring the local area with so many beautiful local walks to go on.

Beautiful B&B in a beautiful location. Ours hosts were more than accommodating, and we had some lovely conversation with them as well. The dining area was incredible, and breakfast was great! My wife and I stayed here on our way up to the Isle of Skye. I Highly recommend a stay here. Wish we had more time to explore the trails and the Trossachs as a whole.

Wonderful bed and breakfast stayed only one night but what a night. Bed was incredibly comfortable and host are so friendly. If you want a place that has it all go to Creagan house you won't be disappointed. Thanks for the wonderful stay! FYI Creagan house is older than America tons of history!

We stayed four nights and 100% loved our stay, Kerry and Andy were exceptionally excellent hosts, nothing was ever to much trouble. Our room and ensuite bathroom was immaculate, lovely view from our room. Plenty of off road parking. They have a great range of spirits to drink at great prices. Our breakfast was delicious every day, with a great choice of menus. Great walks all around. Fishing aswell. Central to many great places of interest. We can highly recommend this to anyone.
