About Premier Inn Stockport Central

Stockport's town centre sits within easy reach of the railway station and its landmark Viaduct, and Premier Inn Stockport Central puts guests right in the middle of it on Churchgate. The hotel has 46 rooms spread across three floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, and there are accessible rooms available along with a lift for getting between floors.

Rooms are clean and well-proportioned, with the showers a particular strong point, though some guests have noted that noise can travel between rooms, so light sleepers might want to factor that in. A restaurant and bar on site cover breakfast and evening meals, drinks can be brought to your room, and reception operates around the clock. Free parking is provided on-site at the front of the hotel, a genuine convenience in a town centre location.

Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the position makes it simple to walk into central Stockport for shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. Further afield, the area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment options for those wanting to venture beyond the town itself.

Edited after hotel response: while I truly appreciate the response, I don’t feel I should need to spend more time helping to correct your problems. Simply tour your rooms and see for yourself! Ask a representative of your customer relations team to spend a night in our room. Break the toilet in the morning so they can experience the full pleasure of what we endured. Sorry, not my job to help you improve. When I pay for a room I expect quality commensurate with what I’m paying. Unimpressed by the reply. We stayed two nights in early June ‘26. The rooms left much to be desired. They were worn out and dated. The bathroom definitely needs updating- dirty with peeling paint and the toilet would not flush on our last morning. Not much fun. There is no AC, so windows are open in every room making for a lot of noise from the parking lot and jets heading into MAN Airport (right in the flight path). Close the window and the room somehow gets extremely hot. Even with the windows open the room had a strange smell of a strong cleaner, but it was still rather dirty. The hotel itself is very noisy and you can hear conversations in the next room,so keep your voice down if talking and you don’t want to be heard. Any movement from rooms upstairs sounds like cattle walking up there. The bed was not a quality mattress, even though they have literature in the room trying to sell you that brand of mattress. Very strange. The restaurant was closed for renovation when we were there (no notice from the hotel), so check before you stay (please, don’t stay) or plan on breakfast at one of the lovely cafes in town. You can definitely find better accommodation anywhere. We do not recommend the Premier Inn Stockport Central. Not of even 3-star quality. Sorry, we were really hoping for better.

When we were checking in there were lots of children causing havoc in the car park- the hotel is next to a housing estate. Didn’t feel overly confident the car would be safe. Room was clean, cheap and cheerful but at the price we paid what do you expect. Cant comment on food as restaurant is closed for refurbishment. Both staff members we came across were friendly and helpful.

Super friendly and professional staff.check in perfectly fine.rooms were clean and tidy. Quieter area are so slept well. As a single female traveller felt safe. My only negative is no restaurant which I was aware of BB prior to booking. But the eating building was awful, run down in fact derelict which has impact on premier Inn in first impression. Room rates not that much different to others in Stockport.i can understand how some customers are appalled at the present situation. The staff were superb so big shout for them as they most likely received the brunt. Thank you all

Lovely welcome from helpful receptionist. Very convenient location. Plenty of parking available. From our room, we.were unaware of the motorway and trains, although my sister could hear them from her room. The aeroplanes stopped at about 11pm and restarted at 6am. Even with the window open, they didn't disturb us. Room Clean and spacious. The shower was super. We did not use the Hungry Horse.
