About Holiday Inn Express Stockport
Walk into a room at Holiday Inn Express Stockport and you get a straightforward, well-kept space with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi as standard, with family and accessible rooms available across the hotel's five floors and lift access throughout. Rooms are simple rather than characterful, but they're consistently clean and comfortable, which is more than can be said for some budget stays.
Breakfast is included and covers more ground than the usual continental spread, with a grab-and-go option for early starts. There's also a restaurant and bar on site, an outdoor seating area and garden, plus practical extras like laundry service, luggage storage and meeting rooms for business visitors. An electric vehicle charge point is available, though there's no free parking at the property and some guests have found on-site parking costly.
The location right by Stockport station makes it an easy base for getting around, with the Old Town, Stockport Viaduct and the Hat Works Museum all within reach, along with nearby pubs, restaurants and a golf course. Staff are consistently described as helpful, which counts for a lot when you're passing through rather than settling in.
What guests say
Just had superb 4 day stay at Holiday Inn Stockport for a family wedding. Room nice, clean and air conditioned; staff all excellent and could not have been more helpful; right at Stockport station so ideal for rail links, Stockport town centre (10 min walk) and buses from Stockport Exchange (also 5 or 10 min walk). Great parking too at NCP Stockport Station Long Stay. Only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars assessment of room is that beds are large so space around and hanging space a little tight - though we knew that before booking. If you have an EV, no chargers right at the hotel but 15 BeEV 150kW chargers which are a 15 min walk away in the Decathlon car park - though for the 15 minute charge we needed why walk back to the hotel. Highly recommended if you are in Stockport which we love. First 2 photos are of hotel; next 4 others of Stockport buildings within 10 mins of the hotel; final one of the top of Stockport Exchange bus station.

Excellent hotel right next to Stockport train station. New rooms with a fun design, quiet and comfortable. Staff were really fun and helpful - thanks for printing our package labels guys, very much appreciated. Parking is in the NCP about 5 minutes walk away but there is a station drop-off (30 mins) area to use for on/offloading baggage.

My friend and I had the meal deal lunch here this week. For the price it was exceptional. Our server was Michelle and she is amazing. She is a credit to this hotel. She couldn't do enough for us and clearly loves dealing with customers. We will definitely be back soon.

Great stay at the Holiday Inn. The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a perfect location. A special mention to Josh and Pam on the team – both were friendly, professional and made everything easy from check-in to any requests we had. Their service really stood out. Would happily stay again.
