Stayed here when attending an evening concert in Sunderland. Check in was easy, aided by the friendly and helpful reception staff. The room was what you expect from premier in, with a comfy king sized bed, TV and shower/bath. The room was well stocked with toiletries and tea/coffee essentials, and clean and tidy. Our room was facing on to the busy A1231 road, so expect some traffic noise if you have the windows open. The location is super easy to access from the main A19 road, but is several miles outside of Sunderland centre (beyond a reasonable walking distance) so make transport plans if visiting the city.

Staff were absolutely amazing! The manager went out of his way to accommodate whenever possible especially with dietary restrictions. He went above and beyond to make sure they were catered to which was really appreciated.

The whole place could do with a good hoover. My room got flooded whilst I'm was out eating. The staff were really helpful. I was switched room because of the flood but the room I was moved into had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. This is my second visit here. On the first visit the room wasn't cleaned properly. I would false nails on the floor used cotton buds and mild wrappers on the floor. The staff are being let down by the conditions of the hotel.

Old rooms, can hear the rooms above and next door. Bar closes at 9pm. Cars broken into in the car park. Overall a pretty poor stay and hotel needs serious modernisation and a bar/Resturant open sensible hours.
