About The Seaburn Inn
A varied menu, a bar and a proper breakfast are all part of the package at The Seaburn Inn, a 40-room hotel facing the water on Whitburn Road in Sunderland. The restaurant offers plenty of choice, with kids' meals and packed lunches available for those out exploring, and outdoor seating for taking in the sea air. That said, food quality has been a mixed bag according to some, so it's worth going in with modest expectations rather than treating it as the main event.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks on offer in-room, and many benefit from sea views and balconies looking out over the coast. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and the hotel has a lift serving its four floors along with 24-hour reception. Pets are welcome throughout, which suits the relaxed, dog-friendly feel of the place, and staff are consistently described as helpful.
Outside, Roker Pier and Seaburn Beach are both close by, making this a straightforward base for a seafront break, with metro access nearby for reaching the rest of Sunderland. There's free on-site parking, an electric vehicle charge point, and pubs, restaurants and entertainment all within easy reach for evenings out.

Stayed with my wife recently for one night. We had a balcony room with a sea view. The room and balcony were immaculate. Bed was really comfortable. The views were amazing. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic with great service. All in all I would highly recommend 👌

I had read previous reviews which said the food was not great but we thought we would still try this place. The pub is nicely decorated and has a great interior. The staff were also friendly. I had a burger and chips. The burger was nice but the chips had been deep fried too many times and were dry and rock hard. A relative had the sausage and mash which came with vegetables like green beans and brocolli. They said the vegetables were under cooked. The prices for food was ok. We had a second drink which was one flat white and half a pint of pepsi max. The two drinks came to £7.70 which seems high.
