About Pitton Cross Caravan and Camping Park
Pitton Cross sits on the high ground between Rhossili and Port Eynon at the far western end of Gower, close enough to walk to Mewslade Bay and Fall Bay through the fields and about a mile from the top of Rhossili Down. This working farm site has been run by the same family for many years, with flat grass pitches laid out in hedged paddocks that take the edge off the Atlantic wind. Campers consistently praise the warm welcome, spotless facilities and well-stocked shop selling everything from groceries to fishing bait and kites.
The site takes tents, caravans and motorhomes up to ten metres, with electric hookups and hardstanding available. Being one of the few Gower sites open all year makes it popular for autumn surf trips and winter walking weekends. There's a disc golf course across the fields, a children's play area, and designated dog exercise areas alongside dog-free zones. The exposed position means you catch the weather from both directions, so choose a hedged pitch if wind is forecast. In return you get some of the darkest skies on the peninsula and sunsets straight into the Atlantic. Rhossili village and the Worm's Head causeway are a short drive or decent walk away, while Port Eynon's Blue Flag beach is a couple of miles east.

What visitors say
Lovely camp site. Amazing views. Good location. Fairly reliable WiFi at a cost of £10 for up to 4 devices for 3 days. Easy check in. I dealt with Tracey who made sure we had a sea view pitch and was helpful and informative. I used the disabled facilities which are not much to look at but are very well thought out with everything you could possible need provided. A mobile food van and mobile bar were provided for the bank holiday weekend. This was great. Good food, plenty of choice for drinks and all of great value. Amazing atmosphere and all closed by 9:30 so as not to disturb guests late into the night. I thought this additional service was fantastic. Will definitely return.

This was our first visit to this part of South Wales and we dropped on a beauty of a site. The instructions for finding Pitton Cross were great. We had requested a pitch near the accessible toilets / shower room and we were actually given A1, the nearest pitch. This was a great help as our daughter is a wheelchair user - she found the disabled facilities easy to use and, like the rest of the site, they were immaculate. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The shop is stocked with all the basics you need as well as a great range of toys and gifts etc. We will be returning.

This is a fabulous campsite on the Gower Peninsula. The site is spacious and the facilities are clean. The owners are lovely people and can't do enough to help you. Its a great spot, very quiet and no light pollution. We were in a motorhome, so walks from the site are important. There is an easy walk to Mewslade Beach and a very scenic walk to Rhossilli Beach, partly along the Gower path, which will get you there in 40 mins. My favourite was the walk to the highest point, which was the Rhossili Hill with spectacular views. If you are visiting Gower, put this site on your plans.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Showers and toilets are clean and tidy. Site relatively quiet. Very dog friendly, many many dogs. Good for caravans or tents. Toilets and showers are all by the entrance but lots of water points around. On some weekends has food trucks and bar trucks, which are on until about 9pm.
