About ibis Swansea
For anyone passing through Swansea who just wants a reliable, no-fuss base, ibis Swansea on Fabian Way fits the bill. It works well for road trippers, business visitors and dog owners alike, thanks to free on-site parking and pet-friendly facilities that make it easy to arrive and settle in without complications.
The hotel has 99 rooms spread across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in-room, and there are accessible rooms and a lift for those who need them. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the rooms themselves are noted for being clean, spacious and quiet, with comfortable beds. A restaurant and bar are on site, along with breakfast each morning, though some visitors have found the breakfast selection a little underwhelming compared to the evening meals, which are generally well regarded.
Beyond the hotel, guests have access to nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, plus golf, fishing and watersports in the surrounding area for those wanting to make more of their stay. There's also an electric vehicle charge point, meeting rooms, laundry service and luggage storage, making this a practical choice for both short overnight stops and longer visits to Swansea.
What guests say
I always stay here when I'm in Swansea. Great location for a stroll around the marina, about 20 minute walk to the city centre. The staff are always friendly and helpful. On this visit, Dean was on the first evening I was there and he was a great asset to the Ibis family, he was professional and engaged with customers extremely well. Oliver was also an ambassador for your Fabian Way hotel. He brought my meal to the table one night and checked if everything was OK. But, it was breakfast time that he was in his element. He cut some quality bread for me and he was checking the selection of food and making sure nothing had run out. I think he enjoys his job and it certainly shows. The lady with dark hair on reception was a great help when I had to stay an unexpected extra 2 nights ( car trouble, not budgeted for). She tried to find me a good deal, silly old me chose to stay at a different hotel in the centre, to save £30 over the 2 extra nights. Worse thing i ever did. Room is grubby, breakfast selection not a patch on the Ibis. That taught me a lesson. I plan to come back to swansea in July. I'm definitely staying at the Ibis fabian way.

Although the staff here were very friendly and helpful the facilities themselves were not up to standard. Our room was very run down looking and also had some very suspicious stains on the walls and ceiling and on the carpet. We had the continental breakfast which was very disappointing as the bread and pastries were very stale and the selections of food was very limited with just ham, cheddar cheese and Brie available at £8.50 each we thought this was very expensive for what we got. We will not be returning next year
